If you’re looking for child-friendly Halloween activities in Sheffield this October half term, look no further.
We’re holding a Spooky Noodle Halloween Party in the Dark from 12.30pm to 3.30pm on Friday, October 30. The three-hour event will be at Beighton Lifestyle Centre and is suitable for children aged between three and eight-years-old. Party guests can stay without their parents and will take part in a number of spooky Halloween-themed games and activities.
There will also be singing, dancing, arts and crafts and face painting. Children are encouraged to come along in fancy dress if they want to and we’re looking forward to seeing your creepiest costumes.

- Muppet Treasure Island
If pirates float your boat or you’re mad about the muppets, you could head to The Montgomery Studio, which is part of the Montgomery Theatre in Sheffield. On Saturday, October 31, they are holding an immersive film screening of Muppet Treasure Island. The film will be shown at 10am and 1.30pm and children can come in pirate fancy dress. As well as watching the film, children will take part in a range of activities including a treasure hunt. Tickets are £6 each.
- Spooky songs
Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet in Sheffield is holding a Halloween-themed family songwriting workshop on Wednesday, October 28 as part of the Off the Shelf festival. The session, which starts at 11am in the story tent, is aimed at children aged between five and 12. Those who take part will be encouraged to create their own spooky songs inspired by things they have seen and learnt about at the museum. - Halloween Spooktacular
The Tropical Butterfly House in North Anston, Sheffield, is holding its annual Halloween Spooktacular from Saturday, October 24 to Sunday, November 1. Normal admission fees to the attraction apply but include a range of ghoulish fun including a haunted hayride through the forest, pumpkin carving and a daily fancy dress competition.
- Monsters on The Moor
The Moor in Sheffield’s city centre is holding a free Halloween event for children on Sunday, October 25. There will be a range of activities and entertainment from 11am until 6pm. The Little Monster’s Halloween Party will include appearances from a colourful dragon, a giant hippo as well as fiendish favourites including the caged mummy and Frankenstein’s monster. There will also be street music, craft activities and apple bobbing.
