We’re excited to be able to announce the dates for next year’s Noodle shows.
In 2016, we’ve decided to make a change from holding one summer show so we’ll be putting on two separate productions – one for younger children and another for our older performers.
Nikki Johnson, Noodle’s managing director, said: “We now have so many talented children taking our classes that it was becoming a challenge to find a show in which everyone could shine. By putting on two main shows, we can give more children a chance to perform and each production will be perfectly suited to the age of the youngsters taking part.”
Children aged from three to six will be performing Red Riding Hood on the weekend of March 5 and 6. Then later in the year, our older children will be taking part in Alice in Wonderland on May 14 and 15.
The Red Riding Hood show will include children from our age 3-4 and 5-6 performing arts classes as well as those from our age 3-4 ballet and street dance sessions. Youngsters who attend our age 7+ performing arts and age 5+ ballet classes will be involved in Alice in Wonderland.
We will be holding auditions soon for children who would like to audition for one of the main parts in Red Riding Hood. Details of these auditions will follow shortly.
We are also putting on a Noodle Tots show on Sunday, June 19 for all the toddlers and pre-schoolers who take our Noodle Tots and Ballet Tots classes.
Our shows are the perfect opportunity for the children taking our classes to show their friends and family what they’ve been learning and gain experience of performing in front of an audience.
Since Noodle began four years ago in September 2011, our productions have grown bigger and better each time. Our first ever show involved just 14 children at Beighton Lifestyle Centre. In contrast, our last Noodle show – Peter Pan – starred 175 children aged between three and 11 and was held at Springs Academy, in Arbourthorne, Sheffield.
