Our toddlers have taken to the stage in a series of special shows in Sheffield.
At Noodle Performance Arts we teach performing arts and dance classes to children in Sheffield and Rotherham, including sessions aimed at the under-threes. The Ballet Tots and Noodle Tots classes are suitable from walking age and focus on music, movement and having fun.
In June, 60 children took part in four performances to show their family and friends what they’ve been learning in class. The shows, which each starred 15 pre-schoolers, were held at Springs Academy, in Hurlfield Road, Sheffield and were a great success!
Noodle Director, Nikki Johnson said “All the children looked like they were having a fantastic time. The shows are a lovely opportunity for our Ballet Tots and Noodle Tots children to show their family members the kind of things they do in class.”
Noodle Performance Arts first organised a tots show last summer after repeated requests from parents.
Nikki said: “Every year we put on a big summer show involving children aged between three and 11. Lots of parents started asking if we could put on a show for the children taking our tots classes so we decided to give it a go and it’s proved very popular.”
The children are accompanied on stage by the parent who usually takes them to class and it is a chance for them to show off their skills to their wider family.
Noodle’s Ballet Tots classes introduce children from walking age to basic ballet moves with fun activities, music and singing. The 30-minute sessions are held in Beighton, Ecclesall, Hillsborough, Totley, Handsworth and Rotherham.
Noodle Tots sessions help youngsters build their confidence and develop their social skills using dance, drama and singing. The classes are held at Beighton Lifestyle Centre and The Corner Space, in Parkgate, Rotherham.
